<br>Als Tragus bezeichnet man das Piercing durch das Knorpelgewebe direkt vor dem Gehörgang, also den Knorpellappen, der das Ohr mit dem Kopf verbindet. Im Gegensatz zum [[Special:MyLanguage/Ohrring|Ohrring]] wird der Tragus nicht mit einer [[Special:MyLanguage/Ohrlochpistole|Ohrlochpistole]] durchstochen. Die ist nur für weiches Gewebe zulässig und für den harten Ohrknorpel nicht geeignet. Die Härte des Gewebes bringt es auch mit sich, dass ein Tragus-Piercing beim Stechen mit stärkeren [[Special:MyLanguage/Schmerzen|Schmerzen]] verbunden ist und länger braucht, bis es abgeheilt ist. <br><br />

<br><b>Heilung. </b>Wenn du dir ein Tragus-Piercing stechen lässt, stell dich auf eine längere Heilungszeit und sorgfältige [[Special:MyLanguage/Nachbehandlung|Nachbehandlung]] ein. Bis alles vollständig abgeheilt ist, kann es gut zehn Monate dauern. <br><br />
<br><b>Gefahren. </b>An der Stelle, wo das Tragus-Piercing gestochen wird, verlaufen wichtige Nervenbahnen zum Gehirn. Wird das Piercing nicht fachgerecht gestochen, kann es zu schwerwiegenden Konsequenzen wie Gehirnhautentzündungen kommen.
