Cheek piercings are placed either through the middle of your cheek muscle or near the edge of your mouth. In both cases, they create small dimples.
Cheek, auf Deutsch Wange, ist die anatomische Bezeichnung für die Gesichtspartie unter den Augen und seitlich vom Mund. Piercings, die an dieser Stelle angebracht werden, heißen daher Cheek-Piercings. Sie werden entweder mitten durch den Wangenmuskel geführt oder nahe am Rand des Mundes gesetzt. In beiden Fällen entstehen dabei kleine Grübchen.<br>

<br><b>Gefahren. </b>Nach dem Stechen des Piercings kann die Wange sehr stark anschwellen, was bei der Auswahl des ersten Schmucks natürlich bedacht werden muss. Zudem verlaufen in der Wange wichtige Arterien und Nerven, die durch das falsche Platzieren des Stichkanals beschädigt werden können. Ein erfahrener Piercer ist also wie immer ein absolutes Muss!
