<br>Das Lippenbandpiercing wird durch das obere Lippenband, mittig an der Innenseite der Oberlippe, gestochen. Ob man hier ein Piercing tragen kann, hängt natürlich von der Größe des Lippenbandes ab. Zwar ist das Lippenband sehr dünn, eignet sich aber wegen seiner relativen Stabilität trotzdem für ein Piercing und kann einen Ring in der Regel problemlos halten.<br>
<br><b>Heilung. </b>Die Heilung ist unkompliziert und dauert ca. ein bis zwei Wochen, vorausgesetzt natürlich, die Wunde wird sorgfältig gepflegt.<br>
<br><b>Gefahren. </b>Unter Umständen können Zähne und Zahnfleisch gereizt bzw. beschädigt werden. Um die durch das Piercing verursachte Reizung zu minimieren, bieten professionelle Piercer spezielle, für Lippenbandpiercings geeignete Kugeln an, die an einer Seite abgeflacht sind.
