Piercing method

Piercings in the cartilage of the ears are particularly painful, so some piercers use punches rather than needles. These have hollow cannulas to remove cartilage from the hole, and prevent the pressure pain that a needle piercing causes. Punched piercings are also more comfortable, and heal faster.
