A rook piercing is one of many ear piercings, placed in the top fold of cartilage between the inner and outer ear, in the directly opposite position to a daith piercing and almost opposite the helix. It’s decorated with studs or smaller rings.

Healing: Ear piercings often take a battering from things like being slept on and using your phone, and can take quite a while to heal. Allow two to three months.
Risks: Cartilage piercings are painful, and a rook piercing is particularly so, as the cartilage is thick at this point.
