If you’re going to get pierced, expect it to hurt. How much pain it causes will depend not just on the type and position of the piercing, but also on your sensitivity to pain, which varies from person to person and is affected by your general health and fitness – so you’ll need to be in reasonably good shape when you get it done. A good piercer will do everything they can to minimize the discomfort.
