A tongue web or Tongue frenulum piercing is placed horizontally through the membrane connecting the underside of your tongue with your lower palate.

Healing: Allow about six to eight weeks for your tongue web piercing to heal completely.

Risks: Everyone’s tongue web is different, and not everyone can tolerate a piercing. Some piercers refuse to do it because of its difficult position, which may cause inflammation, scarring, and problems with the salivary ducts.
